Tourism News - Summerfest 2012 June 29 to July 1, 2012
on the Charlottetown Waterfront http://www.tourismcharlottetown.ca/festivals-and-events/summerfest-canada-day/
This weekend long festival features festivities at the Charlottetown waterfront, multiple events throughout the city and free Canada Day activities that include the biggest fireworks show east of Ottawa.
Registration Deadline: Due to our very small parish size plus a limitation on venue numbers due to fire codes/tourism business
requirements we established the final registration deadline as June 15th. Tourism is PEI's number one industry and it is the Canada Day weekend. Several events are happening off site requiring transportation to be pre-booked two weeks out from the event. The Hafleh Lobster supper venue is currently holding 150 seats for us as they are booking whole buses (from tour companies) and we are required to have firm numbers to them 2 weeks prior to the event. Unfortunately, we are unable to register on-site for these events due to these limitations unique to PEI and its tourism focused province. www.tourismpei.com
Here are our number limits: (In the coming weeks we will let you know as events fill up and are no longer taking bookings for those events).
_Lobster Dinner Halfeh (part of ticket book) is 150 (fire code for the dance after the lobster supper limits us to 150 people)
_Antiochian Women Luncheon/Tour is 50 people.
_Saturday BBQ is 150
_Sunday Awards Luncheon is 150
Please register as soon as possible and avoid disappointment. Registration form and schedule attached. Website
