A add to cart button will be added soon to the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church website in the next 2 weeks with a picture of the mug. To pre-order please send an email to [email protected] requesting a mug...we will have it ready for pick up at the conference. For those staying on the Island, we highly recommend a visit to Right Off the Batt Pottery in Borden! Or Play in the Clay for groups :-)
Size: Did you know that PEI's entire Island population is smaller than some cities? Our population is approximately 142,000 people. Technically our capital city of Charlottetown population of 44,000 doesn't qualify to be a city but our Province needed a capital!
Land: You will find white sand or red sand depending on where you go to the beach on the Island. All our soil is red due to the high iron content. Carole A. Buleza, Director of the Antiochian Archdiocese Department of Christian Education will speak on ""Ideas for Lively Bible Studies."
Bible stories are formative for any Christian at any age. This session will provide ideas to engage in lively Bible studies at any age, and with any size group. Bible study methods such as coloring the text, dramatization, memorization games, depiction through visual art, reader's theater, and even homework (!), will be explored through a hands-on approach. "For the Word of God is living and active..." (Heb. 4:12) Carole was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Christian Education for the Antiochian Archdiocese in January 2000. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Religion, with a specialty in Religious Education. Also in conjunction with the OCEC, Carole introduced the teacher training program "Educating Ourselves and Our Children in Godliness" which has provided hundreds of teachers throughout North America with the resources and training for success in the church school classroom. She gratefully acknowledges that, "It is only by God's grace and with the help of my dedicated staff, the Order of St. Ignatius, members of the OCEC Board of Trustees, and especially His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP, that we are able to provide such resources for Christian Education. May God continue to bless our efforts." Time: Friday, June 29th 2-3pm at the Church Hall - Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church Lower Malpeque Rd. |
